What is an Essential Oil?
Essential oils are the natural, aromatic volatile liquids found in shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. These oils have healing properties for humans and animals.
Essential oils are highly concentrated and far more potent than dry herbs.
Only oils extracted under low temperatures and pressure keep their chemical make-up intact and are beneficial to humans and animals.
What is Raindrop Therapy? Raindrop therapy was developed by Dr. Gary Young and is based on techniques used by the Lakota Indians, massage therapists of Europe and Tibet. Dr. Young created Raindrop to help patients with spinal mis-alignments, auto-immune diseases & and other chronic illnesses that may be microbial in origin.
The technique is very relaxing and is non-invasive. Essential oils are "dropped" neat (without dilution) onto the spine in a specific order. After gentle massage and brush like strokes, a hot towel or moist hot pack is placed on the patients back to help the oils penetrate deeper. Most people experience deep relaxation, a feeling of lightness or cleanness after a treatment. Many report feeling the affects for days or weeks afterwards.
I have seen dramatic and immediate relief from autoimmune ailments such as fibro-myalgia, lyme disease, herpes, lupus, epstein bar. Patients report deep muscle relaxation and sometimes spontaneous and subtle spinal adjustments. Raindrop has been known to help slow the symptoms of diseases as severe as Multiple Sclerosis.
Because Raindrop uses the vital essence of plants and not the pollen there is no danger of triggering an allergic reaction. Even patients who are allergic to the pollen of a particular plant are fine with the essential oil of that plant.
There are no known harmful side affects from the use of pure, unadulterated essential oils.
Why Young Living Essential Oils? From it's inception, the goal of the Company has been to research and produce the worlds highest quality therapeutic grade essential oils.
Producing pure, high quality essential oils is a slow and expensive process. Therefore most essential oil producers cut their oils with chemicals, lesser quality plants or produce at high temperatures and high pressure for higher yields and faster production time. Some of these oils are of little use and can actually cause harm!
A brief History of Essential Oils: Essential oils have played a prominent role in everyday life for thousands of years. There are more than 200 references to aromatics, incense, and ointments in the Bible. Many civilizations from the Egyptians to the Chinese have used essential oils throughout their history. Today essential oils are still being used traditionally in parts of Asia. In the west we are rediscovering essential oils not only for use as aromatics for perfumes but also for their healing properties.
Currently, medical professionals from doctors to massage therapists are using Young Living products with their patients.
